Meatout Day 2016 is coming!

Meatout was stared back in 1985 by activists who wanted to do community outreach and has been celebrated every March 20th every since. Meatout introduces thousands of people to the benefits of a compassionate eating habit, achieving great health, helping the enviroment and of course saving animals
In 2014 and 2015 Aurora's Animal Rights Advocates held a meatout event at the local Go Train Station and gave out free Vegan food samples to everyone going to ride the train that morning. People were very excited to receive a free snack for the train or for later in the day. We made sure everyone knew it was vegan and gave them information on veganism and our group. We handed out over 150 samples and had some great conversations with the community. Thank you Grace, Janette, Kyle and myself for helping cook the night before. We had cookies, breakfast wraps, Negg salad sandwiches and soy milk boxes!
This year we would like to do the same but we want to reach more people. So we are moving our outreach to a larger station, Finch Station.
We want to give out as many sample and as much information as possible to encourage people to try vegan and learn about the consequences of their lifestyle choices.
Were looking for volunteers willing to join us to help spread awareness and yummy compassionate food samples.
You can make your own samples just make sure they are 100% vegan and wrapped to go. (easier for traveling people)
or just come and help hand out what we have or leaflet with us for a few hours. I hope you can come join us to spread our Compassion!!
