Katie Barber - AARA Founder,

Katie strong love for animals lead her to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. In 2013 she took a leap forward and became vegan and starting advocating for all animals, not just "Pets". She spends most of her free time at Wishing Well Sanctuary when not advocating or working at the vet hospital.

Kyle Bowles - Urban Ecosystems Wild Life Refuge Founder and AARA Director.

Kyle has been vegan since 2008 and has had a strong passion for wildlife since he was small. Kyle lives on the Oak Ridges Moraine and has been horrified by the constant development and destruction of nature. So Kyle determined to make positive change started The Urban Ecosystems imitative – using old agricultural land located in the greenbelt region and a tree seedling wholesaler – he’s combined these two resources to create an initiative to allow people in urban centres to more easily create natural green space and biological habitat in urban areas.

Nagaratnam Sivarama (Siva) - Animal Rights Activist

and AARA Director.

Nagaratnam Sivarama, Siva, was born in Sri Lanka and came to Canada in his 40's. With a the love of animals and the planet always on the mind, Siva works hard to spread awareness about the suffering of animals that must be stopped. He has a special interest in ending the suffering of animals in India and helping those of Hindu faith learn about veganism.
