Philip Wollen  is an Australian philanthropist.

He is a former Vice-President of Citibankand

was also General Manager at Citicorp.

He became a vegan following his departure

from Citibank and is a prominent member

of the animal rights movement. He conducts

intervention programs to rescue abused

animals and funds outreach programs

that promote animal welfare and abstinence.

 

 

 

 

 

 

     Kathy Stevens, Founder and Director of

Catskill Animal Sanctuary, spent her childhood

 on a Virginia horse farm. It was in many ways

   an idyllic youth, one that instilled in her a

    deep love of and respect for all animals.

   Little did she know how such a childhood

               would shape her future!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Francione is known for his work on animal  

rights theory, and was the first academic   

to teach it in an American law school. His   

work has focused on three issues: the property

status of animals, the differences between  

animal rights and animal welfare, and a   

theory of animal rights based onsentience  

alone, rather than on any             

other cognitive characteristics.          

 

 

 

Speciesism is a form of

discrimination that most are

unaware of and it is the

discrimination of non human

animals based on their

species. All animals should

be considered equal and

treated with the same

respect one would give a
